Kellyn’s relationship with his parents is a bit topsy-turvy… For those of you who know my headcanon, Kellyn’s father is a former IP agent who was wounded in his job and now sits in a wheelchair. His mother is chronically ill; while her illness does not keep her in bed all the time, it does keep her from working effectively in or outside of home. Kellyn had his duties as the de facto “man” of his household before living his own childhood and adolescence (although Lowell, his father’s Sceptile, has been of tremendous help to him). His parents, in turn, have become more and more withdrawn from him and somewhat unwilling to discipline him as a child; in a way they are ashamed to face him.
